Trust in an academic journal is earned slowly — through consistent peer review, transparent editorial processes, and a clear standing record of how submissions are handled. The International Journal of Advanced Research in Science and Technology (IJARST) has been published every month since 2011, and the values described on this page are the same ones we apply to every manuscript we receive.
Every paper IJARST publishes goes through a documented eight-step editorial workflow: editorial-desk screening, plagiarism checking, double-blind peer review by 2–5 independent subject experts, an explicit accept / minor-revision / major-revision / reject decision, copy-editing, CrossRef DOI assignment, and online publication under a CC BY 4.0 open-access licence. The workflow is published in full so authors and readers can see what happens to a manuscript at each stage.
The journal is published by Pearl Media Publications Pvt. Ltd. (India). Editorial correspondence is handled at editorijarst@gmail.com, and the current editorial board — with names, roles, and institutional affiliations — is listed on our Editorial Board page. There is no anonymous editorial decision-making at IJARST: every desk decision is signed by a named subject editor.
Each accepted manuscript is assigned a CrossRef Digital Object Identifier (DOI). DOIs are persistent, third-party-administered links that resolve to the article of record indefinitely — meaning the work IJARST publishes can be cited and discovered the same way ten years from now as it can today. The journal carries two ISSNs: 2319-1783 (print) and 2320-1126 (online).
IJARST screens every manuscript for similarity before peer review and applies a similarity threshold for desk acceptance. Authorship requirements, conflict-of-interest disclosure, and post-publication correction procedures are described on our Ethics & Plagiarism Policy page. We act on credible misconduct reports from any reader, not just from co-authors of the work in question.
Authors receive an acknowledgement of submission within 24 hours, an editorial-desk decision typically within a few working days, peer-review feedback within 2–4 weeks, and final publication within roughly 6 days of acceptance. All article-processing charges are published up front on our Article Processing Charges page; we do not invoice authors for hidden fees after acceptance.
IJARST publishes under a Creative Commons CC BY 4.0 licence, meaning anyone in the world can read, share, and build on the research at no cost. The journal is listed in CrossRef and several discovery services; the current list of indexing partners is maintained on the Indexed page rather than in marketing copy, so readers can verify each entry directly with the indexer.
We do not advertise inflated impact metrics or invented "rankings". The journal's CrossRef record, indexing partners, ISSNs, and editorial board are all third-party-verifiable facts — we would rather a researcher confirm them independently than take our word for it. Trust in scholarship is built on verifiable claims, and that is the standard we hold ourselves to.
