IJARST Journal Milestones & Growth

The International Journal of Advanced Research in Science and Technology was founded in 2011 by Pearl Media Publications Pvt. Ltd. Since then it has published continuously on a monthly schedule, registered DOIs through CrossRef for every accepted paper, and added new third-party indexing services as they have certified the journal’s editorial standards.

This page lists the milestones we can document and verify through public records. We do not claim figures we cannot evidence.

Founding & identity

  • 2011 — Journal founded; Print ISSN 2319-1783 issued.
  • 2011 — Online ISSN 2320-1126 issued.
  • Continuous publication — monthly schedule from launch through the present, accepting manuscripts year-round.

Indexing & discoverability

Each indexing service represents an independent third-party evaluation of the journal’s editorial standards. The current set is listed on the indexing page; the major ones are:

  • CrossRef — DOI registration for every accepted paper since launch.
  • Google Scholar — full-text indexing of published articles.
  • SJIF (Scientific Journal Impact Factor) — with a published impact factor of 6.76.
  • Index Copernicus — an Eastern-European indexing service evaluating editorial quality and methodology.
  • EuroPub — a European-based scholarly database.
  • Academia.edu — author-driven distribution.

Editorial process improvements

The journal’s editorial workflow has been refined over time to reduce time-to-decision while maintaining rigorous review. Two changes have driven the current operating model:

  • Moving acceptance-to-publication production into a 6-day window through process automation around DOI registration, typesetting, and online posting.
  • Standardising peer-review assignment to a 2–5 reviewer count per manuscript, depending on subject specificity and methodology complexity.

What we are tracking next

Our active focus areas are described on the future vision page. Briefly:

  • Continued expansion of the editorial board to cover emerging interdisciplinary fields.
  • Improved author-side reporting on submission status.
  • Sustained transparency in publication metrics — published, retracted, and corrected counts.

How to verify

Anyone can verify the journal’s history through three independent sources:

  • The CrossRef DOI registry, which carries the publication date of every IJARST paper since launch.
  • The ISSN International Centre’s portal, which records the issue date of the journal’s ISSNs.
  • The articles in press page on this site, which lists current and back issues.
